 Cummunion Service September 2010

During the first week of every month, there will be a new Communion Service posted in which listeners may participate in the celebration of the Lord's Supper.  All born again believers are invited and encouraged to participate.

What would happen if today was the day that you died?

Imagine for a moment that you just died and found yourself  in front of a pearly gate.  There was no one there to greet you, but you felt quite sure you had made it as far as the Gates of Heaven.  As you approached the gates, you were surprised to find them locked and even more startled when you heard a thundering voice asking you why you should be allowed to enter.  What would your answer be? Don't worry, there are no entrance exams at the gates of Heaven, but your answer to the above question reveals what you do or do not know concerning the true Gospel Message. If you are not sure what the right answer would be, I invite you to click on the Gospel Message icon on the Main Menu and read on.

                                                                  WHY AN INTERNET MINISTRY

When people ask me where my CHURCH is, I still get some strange looks when I tell them that its out on the Internet.

New concepts, especially in the spiritual realm, are always initially received with much consternation by those who are accustomed to traditional activity.

Contrary to what religions teach, there are no "holy" buildings in the Church Age, as there were in past dispensations and will be in future ones to come.

In the Church Age dispensation, we do not GO to Church, we ARE the Church  (1Corinthians 3:16) that gathers together (Hebrews 10:28) to worship God.  The building, if one is used, is of no significance.

Scripture must be interpreted in light of the historical period in which the passages were written.  When the New Testament was written, the remote means of communication of our day were not invented or even thought of yet.  Pastors now have access to many forms of communcation in order make disciples out of those who are born again.

I do not believe that Paul would  have hesitated to made use of any means he could have to promote the Gospel Message or the mystery doctrines of the Church Age.

Our enemy, Satan and the Ephesians 6:12 forces of evil are certainly making use of every means of communication, as well as using many pulplits within the Church to promote thier religous alternatives to the plan of God.

Many of the elegant cathedrals of the past and some of the beautiful worship centers of our day are no more than monuments of the religous systems that built them who made and make false promises to those who contribute to them.

I do concede that  believers who gather together and take in doctrine via remote methods have to be self-disciplined in order to maintain the same quality of a learning environment as a traditional setting, but  true "disiciples" are a rare breed among those who claim to a part of the Christian Community today.

A Biblically structured local assembly or remote ministry provides those attending with  an ongoing supply of spiritual informatiom that every believer needs to receive in order to advance in discipleship. This is something that is becoming a rare find in the Christian Community at large.

"My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge...(Hosea 4:6)."

The Great Commission given to the Church is to proclaim the Gospel Message to unbelievers, and to make disciples out of those who are born again when they BELIEVE the Gospel.  The original language of the New Testament that was inspired by God the Holy Spirit was Greek.  The Greek word for disciples was mathetes which means to be technical student in a teacher-pupil environment.

There was only ONE ritual that the Lord commands worshipers to participate in, and that is the celebration of the Lord Supper or what some call Communion.  The purpose of this ritual is to BRING INTO REMEMBRANCE (not to reproduce) the Person and Work of the Lord Jesus Christ.  False doctrines and practices concerning this ritual have incorporated  pageantry, actors, furnishing, logistics, and restrictions that were NEVER intended to be a part, or to become  impediments to the celebration of this ritual.

The Biblically endorsed objectives of a traditional local assembly can  be accomplished by remote devices, such as the Internet, by pastor teachers who have received the same Biblically endorsed training and ordination.

The advantage of an Internet ministry is that it is open twenty four hours a day, seven days  a week. By using the video controls, one can pause or repeat the presentations, or can contact the ministry via e.mail about any questions that may have concerning the lessons presented.

An internet ministry is also available to persons who  do not otherwise attend worship services and who do not feel welcomed in traditional settings for a variety of reasons.

Internet congregations are made up of persons from many countries and walks of life. Where such congregations lack the fellowship of traditonal settings, they are united in what matters most, that being in doctrine.

My primary function as a pastor-teacher is to make the TRUE Gospel Message and accurate Biblical Doctrine available to persons that God the Holy Spirit leads to my ministry.  What one chooses to do with the information offered is between the recipient and God, to Whom we will all give an account to, when this life here on earth is over.
